The genesis of Appointed Times sprang from a shared revelation experienced by Eleanor and Susanna—each recognizing independently that there was a significant gap in the market: no planners effectively integrated the Gregorian calendar with the Hebrew Lunar Calendar. Both saw the potential for such a tool to bring the feasts of the Hebrew calendar into day-to-day life, making sacred observances an integral part of routine planning.

Motivated by the desire to create a Messianic planner that not only highlights important dates and weekly Torah portions but also delves into the profound richness of Jewish feast days, Eleanor and Susanna embarked on a journey to produce a planner that would be both spiritually enriching and practically useful for the body of Messiah.

However, despite their aligned visions, Eleanor and Susanna were yet to meet, living in different cities and connected only by a shared dream. Eleanor, armed with a B.A. in Biblical Literature from Oral Roberts University and trained in Hebrew and Greek, was perfectly positioned to elucidate the deep meanings of the Biblical Feast Days. Susanna, with her expertise in graphic design and data modeling, was poised to engineer the structure of the planner and bring its pages to vibrant life.

Providence played its hand when Susanna moved to Eleanor’s city for work. A fortuitous invitation from Eleanor’s husband to attend the Hineh Yeshua Messianic congregation led to their first meeting. It was clear that divine intervention had guided them to each other, combining their diverse skills to turn the Appointed Times Planner from a shared dream into a tangible reality.
